What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is an ancient system of healing that originated in India more than 5000 years ago. Based on the wisdom of Samkhya philosophy, this holistic health system emphasizes on offering guidelines for harmonious living.

​

Ayurveda is not a substitute for Western medicine it works as a complement. Focusing on prevention and maintenance of good health through diet, physical activity, lifestyle and mental health.

It considers five elements as the fundamental building blocks of Nature: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether(Space).The 5 elements break down into 3 categories called doshas.The doshas are :

  • Vata: Air+Space

  • Pitta: Fire+Water

  • Kapha: Water+Earth​

​Every person is born with his own unique constitution(Prakruti). Our constitution is constantly affected by our environment, emotions, or even the seasons. And it can put us in a state of imbalance (Vikruti). 

Ayurveda gives us tools to maintain our balance and wellbeing. And Yoga is one of them.

Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences. 

Ayurveda enables you to understand how to create balance of body, mind and consciousness according to your own individual constitution and how to make lifestyle changes to bring about and maintain this balance.

I have designed two programs to allow you to understand the foundations of Ayurveda and Yoga so that you can integrate these principles, experience them through daily routines and Yoga sessions corresponding to the needs of your current state of being .

We will begin by defining your unique constitution and identifying the current state of imbalances you are experiencing. From there, a personalized program will be developed just for you.

You'll get a yoga practice tailored to who you are and what you need to support your physical vitality and mental well-being.

And you'll be able to incorporate self-care tips into your daily habits.

Follow-up can be done over 1 week for an introduction or over 4 weeks to go deeper, sessions are by video conference calls.

  • Determination of your unique physical and mental constitution

  • 4x 75 min Customized live one-on-one yoga sessions applying Ayurvedic principles (1/week on 4weeks)

  • Classes replays

  • How to incorporate and integrate practices of yoga and Ayurveda for personal well-being in your daily life

  • Classes are Live and Online , 1/week for 4 weeks according to your availabilities
